The cards are beautiful. They are rectangular to an extent that is a bit harder to gauge from the image. Still really nice. The print is also a bit more matte than the picture indicates but they also allow notes from two different people on the same card as opposed to a square. I find these cards are perfect to write a note of sympathy or condolence, to say thank you for a special kindness, to wish a belated happy birthday or any other need which might arise. i started searching for a high quality engraved, peronalized note card, specifically from Cranes. But along the way i found American Stationery, and as it was a fraction of the price and available in less than half the time, i decided to give it a try. Sometimes you want a note card that fills up quickly. Granted, it is always a possibility to write bigger, but I like these cards for the way they allow three sentences to look like an entire note. Those with more to say can always write a little smaller- but the option of filling the space is nice.
