Personalized gifts no matter what the value is, gives more impact to the receiver, because it is something that is carefully thought of and that includes an extra effort from the giver. If you know the person very well, you already know what kind of gift they really want to receive, you can also consider giving a thing that a person will never consider of buying. If the person you are giving loves to bake, a heart muffin pan is a cool gift, or a specialty cake in a cake shop or coffee shop that is something they’ve never tried before.

It’s so hard to imagine celebrating the most special occasions in our lives without thinking about receiving and giving gifts to our love ones. Examples of these celebrated special occasions are: birthday, Christmas, graduation day, christening, house warming, mother’s day and father’s day.

There are also some people who are giving gifts without any occasions; for them, it is something that makes them feel good, and it is one of their way of showing their love, thoughtfulness and affection to their love ones. It also brings joy and happiness for the receiver, especially if the gift is personalized just for them.

One suggestion of a popular gift are American Stationery’s Personalized Self Stick Memo Cubes – Style 12 (2807_12) Self- stick memos don’t have to be yellow…ours have style and color!. Each self-stick memo pad measures 3 3/8″ square and has 675 sheets. Matte Ink Colors Paper Color: White

Let’s talk about the simple act of giving without wanting anything in return. Many of us are unconsciously so self-centered that everything we do, even within our closest relationships, is actually bartering rather than unselfish giving. This can be true even when we are dealing with ourselves as I pointed out in an article called What Do You Think You Deserve?

We all realize that giving on any level feels really good, but internally all forms of giving are not equal.  When we give with the expectation of receiving something in return, we are not really letting go of what we are giving. If we do not let go completely, then we are still clinging to whatever we gave.

When you give without expecting something in return you actually open yourself to a completely different experience. You become part of this giant feedback loop in which we are all participants. In reality, there is no scarcity, just unequal distribution. Hoarding and clinging are very limiting and they are two of the primary reasons for the perception of scarcity.

Another suggestion of a great personalized gift from American Stationery is the My Sweet Life Planner (3055_17) an essential tool for the busiest person.  This planner will make keeping track of your weekly activities a snap. Size: 11″ x 8 1/2″ Set includes 1 Calendar pad of 52 sheets

When you give freely without expectation, it can come back to you in some very unpredictable ways. But remember, if you are giving simply to get something back, then you put limits on the ways that you can receive. You cannot be giving without expectation and be hoarding at the same time.

Here are some ways that unselfish giving can have a beneficial effect on you.

Giving feels satisfying. When you give without wanting anything in return it opens up your heart to an enhanced sense of peace, love and joy.

Giving stimulates gratitude.  Giving without expectation will elevate your personal awareness of others.

As a result, you will feel increasing levels of compassion and gratitude.

Giving attracts giving. What we put into the world has a powerful influence on what we receive. This is part of that giant feedback loop I mentioned.  The energy of giving has a very positive influence on how you experience your world.

Giving makes you aware of limiting beliefs. When limiting beliefs like selfishness and greed become exposed to your conscious awareness, then you can work on letting them go. If you are unaware of their existence, they remain active in your subconscious. If they continue unchecked, you may wind up attracting the exact opposite of what you intended.

One of the most important reasons why people give gifts is because of the good feeling that they get in return, the sweet moment when they see their special someone unwrapped the gift and sees the joy and happiness in their faces. It’s like saying the words that you cannot express, and showing them how important they are to you in your life.

Giving a gift will also show your sense of style by the way you wrapped it, and also the way you have thought of presenting the gift nicely will show your respect, love and care for the receiver, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. It does not matter also if it is small or big, cheap or expensive, the value behind the gifts can never be compared to any amount of money. The thought of remembering a special someone on a particular day by giving him/her a gift is incomparable.

Another gift consideration are our Ocean Breeze Memos – Blues (2799) These memo pads’ color palettes are both soothing and energizing at the same time.  Perfectly packaged with a ribbon holding the three sizes together.  Each set comes with three coordinating color pads in blue, lime and teal, as shown.  Lined Pads measure 3 3/4″ x 8 3/4″, 3 3/4″ x 7 1/4″, and 3 3/4″ x 5 3/4″.  75 sheets per pad.

Here are some reasons why people are giving gifts

Appreciation- Some people especially business owners usually give gifts to their employees as a way of showing their appreciation for their hard work and contribution to the company, one reason also is to motivate other employees to perform well in their tasks, because if an employee is being recognized in his hard work, he will continue to perform well and will serve as a good example to others.

An impactful gift for an employee might be the longtime American Stationery staple the Standard Box – Qty 200 Shts 100 Env. – Monogram (S4_M) This has been a customer favorite for over 85 years, the “standard” by which others are measured; fine quality, versatility and medium weight paper. Showing Skills – Giving personalized gifts is another way of showing off our skills. If a person has a talent in painting, giving a personalized coffee mug or personalized “you and me” picture frame with the receivers name or initials in it will make the gift extra especial. Giving a gift with a personal touch will indicate that you have exerted time and effort for the person that you are giving.

Promoting a Business -Small and Big companies give gifts to their customers on New Year as a token of appreciation for their loyalty and support. But behind that, companies give gifts to their customers to actually encourage the customers to give more business or to refer them from other potential customers.

This has become a tradition of most companies, and a gift suggestion would be American Stationery’s Crossroads® Personalized Candles (2832) These personalized, double wick Crossroads® 26 ounce jar candles are perfect for anyone on your list.  They are available in a variety of scents and colors and will burn for 120-140 hours.  Candles measure 5 1/2″ x 4″.  Laser engraved with choice of monogram or up to 3 lines of copy.

An important event- to mark a special day such as Anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, graduations or birth of a baby, bringing a present is automatic. A personalized Layette – Baby Boy or Baby girl is fun gift to give to a new born baby; this is one of the best monogrammed baby gifts. The 7pc layette goes out with a beautiful gift box; this is a memorable gift that the parents will surely appreciate.

I would suggest giving a personalized Natural Wood Frame – Style 2, Horizontal (2813_2H) Keep your special memories on display with our Natural Wood Frames.  Each frame is available laser engraved in different ways to celebrate your life.  Frames hold a 4″ x 6″ photo.  Features an easel back for table top display or may be hung. Size: 9″ x 7″

Debt of Gratitude- When someone has done you a big favor, and you want you want to say thank you or you want to show your appreciation to that person, giving him a gift is a formal way to express it. People who are doing good deeds for others do not expect money in return, because they are helping others from the bottom of their hearts, and those people deserves to receive gifts of appreciation.

A thoughtful suggestion and gift would be the Scented Personalized Soap Trio Set – Oval Soaps (2847_O) Our custom made, lightly floral scented soaps are available in gift packs of 3 bars, expertly engraved with your 3 letter script monogram or block name.

The personalized touch is so obvious for other occasions. It really makes you wonder why people don’t personalize more often. For example, let’s take a wedding anniversary. Again, a really nice picture frame with “Happy 50th Anniversary” will definitely find a place on the wall or fireplace mantle. Or maybe you could give a calendar with memorable photos of the happy couple over the years.

Another gift suggestion would be our Small Canvas Photo Notebook (9703) These Black canvas notebooks feature the photo of your choice on the front.  This smaller size (7″ x 9″)  holds a 5″ x 7″ pad, about 30 sheets, a loop in the center to hold a pen and a single pocket on facing page.

Unique personalized baby gifts are a great way to show your love and appreciation for the new life your friends or family members are bringing into the world.  Whether you’re giving a gift to a pair of happy new parents or an expectant mother, adding a personal touch will give both the parents and the baby something to cherish for months or years to come. Most importantly, whenever they see the gift they’ll think of you and remember the important role you played in the baby’s early life.

In many ways gift giving is an art. Don’t just give another impersonal widget. Give something that is made especially for your loved one. If you take your time, and put in effort, the heart will shine through.
