It is said that getting married, buying a house and having a child are three of the major life changes we will experience throughout our life times. If you have experienced any or all of these changes we are confident you would agree. Major life changes can be overwhelming and probably even scary, especially if it is your first time encountering them. But, they are also happy, joyous. and celebratory moments.

Here Comes the Bride…

Marriage is the event that takes two individuals and transforms them into one union. And with that union comes a much larger circle of family and friends. Couples getting married have a lot of things on their plate; the dress, the rings, the caterer, the honeymoon, and the list could go on and on. It is during this prenuptial time that this larger circle of individuals plays a huge role in giving support, helping to de-stress, and certainly in celebrating. Here are a few ways (besides the wedding day) that family and friends can be incorporated into the big event.

  • Save the Date:
A Save the Date card is intended to give your family, friends and soon to be guests a heads up on the special day. In some cases, this may be the first many have heard the wonderful news. This type of card could be sent when your wedding date is quite a ways down the road or if you have several out of town guests that will need to make arrangements. Perhaps you will be having a more intimate wedding at a far away locale, this type of card will allow your guests to plan accordingly.
  • Engagement Announcements:
What is the purpose of announcing your engagement or having a party to do so? It is a great way to have an informal or formal meet and greet between the two families and friends of the marrying couple.
