Perhaps one of the largest milestones you will face is a graduation. How fitting is the word commencement (or beginning)? It’s kind of the epitome of what defines a milestone, isn’t it? Graduation certainly does close the door on one era and begins a new one. Graduation signifies a time of completion, a successful end to an academic era culminating with a ceremony, in which you are handed a diploma. Perhaps in the past the most celebrated graduation was high school. Now, however, there is significance placed on preschool and college graduations as well.

A pre-school graduation is a celebration for your little one as they prepare for greater achievements in their academic development. One day the achievement of learning their A-B-C’s and 1-2-3’s and writing their name will seem quite insignificant to them. But, as a parent, it’s a huge milestone! You should be proud of how well your little one is learning. They are completing the ground work for a successful education experience. Celebrate, honor and cheer them on in their future endeavors. It will be the confidence builder they need to push them into the next stage they will face.
